- The rapid and sure handling of solar panels is one of the main requirements at the automated production to achieve and ensure an efficient manufacturing process. The IPR solar panel gripper is made of hardcoated aluminium F53. With only a few system modules, the gripper frame enables a customized adaption to the given panel. The solar panel is picked with the use of vacuum cups arrayed on a panel gripper. Through the use of the TK-tool changer system the solar panel gripping unit is compatible with all types of robots. The IPR solar panel gripping unit is a light but very stiff system. Cracks in the panel which can result from its handling, are avoided through the material´s high rigidity. The gripping unit is designed in a way that ensures that no settling occurs and therefore the alignment during long term usage is guaranteed.
